With hope and a prayer

When I started this writing bit there was usually something going on in the forefront of my life that would help me decide which painting I would end up writing about. Still that inspiration hasn't hit. But I have decided on one to talk about. The painting entitled Child's Prayer.

And even though I say there is no particular thing going on if I were to be truly honest with myself, which this is all about, than I would have to say I am struggling with my hope, my faith. I guess it's easy for us to associate hope and dreams with children, but that doesn't have to always be the case. Truthfully we never stop dreaming....... there is always something that we wish to experience, feel and comprehend, it's just part of being human.

So here is in the ultimate struggle for anyone who has ever had a dream they wanted to fulfill. Do you go for it even though it may not be the most fiscally responsible thing to do in the short term or do you always do 1) what's expected or you 2) or do you choose the responsible route because they're are others that are always counting on you? It really is the ultimate question, especially for artists.

Now I guess this would be where one's faith is really tested and is really needed. But in actually fact what does faith mean.
This in itself is a trick question. To have faith in a person means to know they are reliable and trustworthy, but to have faith in a idea or dream no matter that other's have gone before you and may have fulfilled their dreams is by no means a guarantee that success is eminent. It is one's own personal faith that is called into question. Ultimately it comes down to our trust in the end result. Than no matter what in fact happens before we get to that successful completion of that dream it is in fact on track.

So you work on your dream, you have faith in your dream and so on, there's just one thing no one is ever prepared for and that is the length of time, or at times recognizing those dream propelling opportunities. Doesn't sound like the best prognosis, especially when one still has to keep the roof over their heads. And this is why our faith gets tested. The fact is we live in an ever changing world, and there is a place for every dream. Finding your audience or your audience finding you is the pearl inside the oyster. A gift to be treasured.

Awareness of where our mind wanders and becoming aware is a vital key in regaining our hope. And of course it's always nice to listen, read and talk to others who can remind, relate and lift you up. It really doesn't have to take much.

Be willing to accept what you're feeling an know it can be a nano second in time really.
